The person in this position will work under the direction and supervision of the head cook and food service director. The cook III assists the head cook in performing routine preparation duties and serving food; performs cleaning, dish washing, and other duties in a school kitchen. This position could also involve some food preparation. The cook III must be able to move into the cook II position, when needed. The person in this position may also transport and serve lunch to Territorial Elementary School in District vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Must be willing to be fingerprinted for a criminal history records check;
- Experience in working in an institutional kitchen or substituting in same;
- Ability to meet state requirements of health code for kitchens;
- In possession of a current food handlers card;
- Ability to work with a team to deliver various food products;
- Written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality;
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively with other staff;
- Possess physical and mental attributes required to perform essential functions;
- Ability and willingness to learn and support school and District rules and policies;
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current first aid card;
- Computer skills/knowledge.
