The person in this position is under the general supervision of the Site Principal and is responsible for implementing the district curriculum and for carrying out the policies of Junction City School District. 

 

Qualifications Required

  1. Current Oregon Elementary Teaching License;
  2. Recent classroom teaching experience at the elementary level;
  3. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate effective teaching strategies, and knowledge of Common Core State Standards and district curriculum;
  4. Demonstrated positive classroom management skills;
  5. Ability to systematically and interdependently work with a team of teachers to analyze and impact professional practice in order to improve student learning outcomes;
  6. Independently and as part of a team, use student achievement data and information to inform and guide instruction;
  7. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, administrators, students, parents, and patrons;
  8. Ability to meet the Junction City School District Standards of Competent Teacher Performance and the Oregon Standards for Professional Educators;
  9. Responsibility to know, understand, and adhere to District policy;
  10. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current first aid/CPR card.

Qualifications Desired

  1. Demonstrated conflict resolution, parent conferencing, and supportive communication skills;
  2. Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem solving (i.e. scheduling and other logistical matters);
  3. Fluency in Spanish.
